Photography For the Blind

If that sounds like a sick joke, check out this article from today’s Technology section in The New York Times.

A start-up company called Lytro has developed  the ultimate point-and-shoot. You don’t have to focus the camera. You set focus after you’ve taken the shot!

If, for example, the background is sharp, you can switch focus to the foreground.

OMG, is this a grand gimmick or the future of photography?

We’ll just have to wait and see.
