I mentioned in a previous post that this is my lucky thirteenth drive across the country. Not so lucky, perhaps, is the fact that we pulled into an empty motel in Dale, Indiana last night and were assigned room #13.
Too tired to request another.
Tonight on a hunch, I took an exit for Sam Black Church in West Virginia. It was an atmospheric lonely old road where I came upon this Methodist church. It was built in 1903 in honor of Rev. Sam Black and that’s all I know. It looked a bit eerie so I took a few shots but it was too dark. I stuck an SB-900 near the door and flashed the scene which fairly captures the scene as I felt it.
At least it’s not another shot of clouds.
