The title doesn’t tell the story of this post—my 400th! In fact, there is no story except maybe Waiting For Godot.
True, that’s my bag and it’s waiting to be claimed. Sort of. Actually it’s waiting for me to load it into the car for a cross-country adventure that has been repeatedly delayed. I’m scheduled to leave now on September 1st, but who knows?
So the bag remains packed. From the aerial view here you can kinda see a Nikon D300s with 70-200mm zoom mounted; two speedlights; a space for my missing D90 (which was used to take the photo); power pack for the strobes (outer pouch); backup drive (outer pouch). Other small items hidden here & there but those are the essentials in one bag. Two supporting bags wait in the wings, but if they disappear I’d survive. Whereas if this bag vanishes I’m a goner.
I promise the 500th post will be better.
OK, here’s some Value Added if you’re searching for a nifty little file conversion tool…
AVS Image Converter is fast and powerful. Here’s a screen shot… (Click on the image for a larger view)
You can, for example, drag and drop a whole bunch of “Bmp” files and quickly convert them to JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and other formats—even PDF.
In addition to basic conversions you can set quality, size, and file name, plus add filtering effects and watermarks as shown in the screen below:
This is one of the handiest utilities I’ve found in a long time.
