What’s Up in August?

Future posts just around the bend.

Ø Lovely Japanese girl exhibiting the Nissin PowerPack PS300. According to a review in the Tokyo press it provides a recycling time of 0.5 seconds. I’ll be testing it with speedlights in seedy motels.

Ø A look at a cool file conversion utility from Russia (with love)

Ø (MAYBE) A report on the Sigma 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM. I say “maybe” because this lens was announced in February but nobody has actually seen one yet. Amazon lists it as available but says it ships in 1- 3 months. Hunh? Google it and you won’t find a single review, only Sigma’s original press release

Ø My “Dog Daze Reading List.” This will include the novel Mr. Peanut by Adam Ross, and a peek at “The Secret World of China’s Communist Rulers” called The Party.

Ø A test drive of a small shoe mount LED video light that has more ooomph than Litepanels.

Ø Reports from the road as I tool across America… and lots of hot photos, natch!
