Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 has arrived and shutterbugs are smiling. There are plenty of reasons to upgrade from the previous version, and I’ll be discussing them in future posts. One pleasant surprise for photographers shooting HD video is the ability to import videos—either directly from a DSLR or from external drives.
You can use keywords, add star ratings, and organize your HD video files via collections. Once imported, Lightroom 3 adds the little icon below which includes the video’s duration. Very sweet.
To preview a movie simply click on the icon to launch your computer’s default viewer.
Oh, almost forgot, you can also create exportable video slideshows in Lightroom 3.
More on that feature to come, stay tuned.
