I haven’t received my copy yet of David Busch’s Nikon D300s Guide to Digital SLR Photography. In fact, I was so eager to lay my hands on a copy I spent the evening at Borders reading as much as I could. It’s crammed with useful information you won’t find in the camera’s manual, including tips on must-have accessories. You have to trust David Busch—the guy eats, sleeps, and drinks Nikons. He’s the man (not to mention the encyclopedia), no doubt about it. In addition to his expertise, his book is packed with big, full-color photos (not a black and white in sight), so it’s easy to see what he’s describing. Hell, the D300s has so many menus and buttons you’d be lost without a map like this.
His publisher better send my copy soon since they won’t let me scrawl margin notes at the bookstore.
