Lightroom Without All the Noise

I’ve been playing with the beta 2 release of Lightroom, and the first thing that wowed me was the new Luminance slider (circled in the above  screen shot) which provides some kick-butt noise reduction.

Another welcome addition is the Tone Curve which can be adjusted the same as in Photoshop.  It seems clear Adobe is moving toward expanding Lightroom to include all the Shop tools photographers need.

Beta 2 is a lot snappier than the original release.

Additional new features include:  tethered shooting support for select Nikon and Canon cameras, and the ability to import and manage video files from DSLR cameras.

Stay tuned for more.
