I’m writing on a tight deadline so time is limited. This is a snapshot of the table by my desk where reference books wind up. True Crime is pure eye-candy, a visual kick. The architectural dictionary comes in handy, but there’s no “French window” in sight, go figure. 944 is a local mag with nice legs.
If this were a snap of my bedside table you’d find Chandler’s The Big Sleep and Bad Things, a new novel by Michael Marshall (his previous novel The Intruders was deeply creepy). There’s also Fool’s Paradise, about excess in South Beach (isn’t that redundant?).
The pile of “to be read”s is so high now I don’t have a lens wide enough to take it in.
