The Nikon SB-900 AF Speedlight arrived last week and–ugh–haven’t had time to open the box and test it yet. Been years since I’ve cranked up a small flash unit, as I’ve been working with large studio strobes (yes–even outdoors). Looking forward to the mobility factor. The SB-900 sports a faster recycling time and wider zoom range than its popular predecessor (SB-800), and adds three light distribution patterns. Should be cool. Now if they’d just send two more so I could cover all the angles.
One thing’s for sure… I’ll read the manual cover to cover. We can’t all be Joe McNally.
My review will appear on Zoom Street (date TBA) so check out the magazine and its frequent updates.
